Nikki Haley CNN Town Hall

She was probably coached to speak slowly for the MAGAs. That seems to be a common trait among politicians that the MAGAs like.

This is nothing more than a grift.

I'm glad she's putting her scary policy beliefs out for everyone to hear. I think a lot of people thought she might be a pretty decent conservative person wrapped up in a sweet southern female package. But, now we see how extreme and dangerous she actually is.

How is this presidential?

Wow, so she believes teachers should keep loaded guns in the classroom? That is messed up.

Here’s the question I wish *someone* would ask these southern GOP candidates: “If you were alive during the time of the Civil War, would you have supported the Union or the Confederacy?”

I think it’s a totally fair question (not a “gotcha” by any means) and would tell us a lot about that person. It would be particularly relevant with Haley, given her experience with the South Carolina state flag.

If she were a man, there would be little or no interest in her as a candidate.

Interesting how the exact same people who want teachers to have loaded guns in classrooms with children...

...also think those same teachers are grooming children for pedophilia and mutilation, are indoctrinating them in marxism and hatred toward whites and whatever other weird crap they seem to think teachers have all this time and freedom to do.

You do know she *removed* the Confederate flag from the SC capitol building - right?

What do you want, a cookie? Sorry, you don't credit for that.

So it should be a decisive, “I would be on the side of the Union.” It wouldn’t be, though.

Former dem consultant

Some of us actually have to tell our poc — but specifically Asian background candidates — to speak slower because voters def judge them for it

Nikki 💯 would’ve been told the same by consultants decades ago

I don't mean this in a totally flip way, but it's somewhat freeing to be Never GOP at this point. I'm simply not paying attention other than the unavoidable soundbites.

Fascinating that this woman who got so many accolades for being downright sensible has now become a nut for political reasons.

75-80% of the republicans think Trump or Mini trump best represents their views and values. Reality is a RWNJ woman of color has no chance in the party because she is seen as too moderate.

And then years later she still thinks it represents heritage and not hate. It’s always been about hate.

“During an interview with talk show host Glenn Beck, Haley described how she reacted after white supremacist Dylann Roof murdered nine people at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

"Here is this guy who comes out with this manifesto, holding the Confederate flag," she said, referring to Roof. "And [he] had just hijacked everything that people thought of. We don't have hateful people in South Carolina -- there's always the small minority, that's always going to be there -- but people saw it as service and sacrifice and heritage, but once he did that, there was no way to overcome it."
