IMO, they need to up the qualifications to join the military. Tons of racist, crazy aholes joining the military to learn to use weapons. We don't need that. Several of 1/6 insurrectionists were former military; the guy who leaked the info about the Ukraine war is a misogynistic racist; the list goes on.

The vast majority of military aged youth currently do not qualify. If they add a political purity test, we will not be able to have a military at all. And we have serious threats to worry about and that we need a military to effectively counter.

Time to reduce our military foot print in the world anyway. We cannot be the worlds military to the expense of our own country. Spend it on infrastructure and education instead.
