I'm tired of "statement armpits"

It is interesting that you believe the choice to just let your body exist in its natural state is a “statement.”

So in order to avoid making a statement, women must engage in continuous (or costly) hair removal. Please think about this for a while and get back to me.

Ditto. My shaving habits aren’t “a statement” about anything except what I personally find comfortable.

It's not a "statement" from me, I just don't care anymore.

1. They got a rise out of OP and you. Jokes on you.
2. You thinking something looks ridiculous does not make it so. You are not in charge.

Not only not my business; I simply don’t care about other people’s body hair. Whatever floats someone’s boat.

Doesn't matter at all.

I'm sure some people will struggle with the transition to not trying to control other people for no good reason.

It's a process.

OP here. I don't care if people shave or not. I'm tired of people-- mostly celebrities whose star is dimming-- doing photo shots with their hairy armpits as the focal point.

Armpits are gross and people don't want to see them. They also don't want to see the bottoms of your feet or the insides of your teeth. This isn't revelatory. And having hairy armpits isn't feminist or something. It takes no effort to grow armpit hair. It's not even like, styled.

Do you feel this way about the "perfume is a threat to civilization" crowd?

Agree. Armpit hair when juxtaposed with evening wear is especially appalling. Like on one hand, flair out with your hair out- but on the other- yikes.

Pubes popping out of a bathing suit is gross too, but at least it's casual wear/you can understand why it's more visible. expensive silk formal fabric with stinky furry pits, eek.

But then, I have a lot of hair- so my armpit hair when it grew up (lazy winter when I was a teenager) was very furry- was not a scant amount.

I take exception with your exhaustion only because witnessing two or three bushy armpits hardly merits the hyperbole.

No one cares what you think.

Any armpit hair is disgusting. Male or female. I think Muslim guys shave it. All rest should too.

DH. Total turnoff for me.

Obviously, you care.

Is someone forcing you to look at these photos of celebrities? Do people approach you on the street to show you their feet and teeth?

You seem to have a lot of issues with the human body. I am not even sure what “insides of your teeth” even means.
