I'm tired of "statement armpits"

'Display'? Do they have tiny picture frames installed around their underarm hair? It's not for me but you get to not look.
I hate when people are so close minded they assume someone is doing something for the reason they think, and there may be no reason at all.

In the case of celebrities, they actually do.

Men in my family shave pits and pubes and it’s lovely.

Sorry you’re tired of statements, OP. Turns out I’m tired of shaving so I guess you’re going to have to put up with my hairy pits. Although the only statement I’m trying to make is that I’m tired and/or lazy.

Live and let live. I truly don’t care what other people do with their bodies and lives, unless it affects me directly.

Maybe PP is male and they were in a gaggle of naked male cousins? It's the "lovely" descriptor which has me thrown...

I’m noticing smell with the armpits. I didn’t even know hair was a thing. But, now getting on elevators, standing lines, walking past others, they smell of extreme B.O. I thought it was bc large numbers of people have switched from antiperspirant to deodorant in those pits.

Apparently they do. You know, they are so conservative and God fearing that they have to check everyone's privates.

That's a problem with hygiene, not hair.

I suspect people have scaled back the frequency of their showers. We are definitely having a cultural moment where many people prefer to reduce showers, reduce hair washing, use gentler products (eg deodorant vs antiperspirant) and shave less often. The combination of all of that might be leading to an increase in nasty smells.
