^^ ETA also cut the oats! |
weight and height and bmi ? |
Same. I think it's not having enough core muscles and mild constipation. If I have an important event and need to look skinny in the afternoon or evening, just fasting keeps my stomach looking flat all day. |
5'9" 155, probably 22 BMI |
that's what I was wondering, is this just a universal truth, or is this unique? |
DP.. If I get hungry, I start to get gas pains and bloating. |
The bloating, gas and constipation is unreal. ![]() |
thanks for all the tips. I will try switching to still water, cutting out oatmeal and quinoa, and just eating really clean for a few weeks. |
I'm similar OP. I dont think my diet has changed much, and my weight has only gone up 5 lbs since pre-baby. But things are just... different. I hate pants because they are saggy and loose in the morning and tight and uncomfortable by late afternoon/evening. I've been focusing on core muscle strength, but now I just have muscle covered by mom pouch.
I'm not yet willing to do an elimination diet, so I guess for me, this is the new normal. |
My body has become super sensitive to salt. One very salty restuarant meal and I get really bloated. My weight goes from like 120 to 125. |
It was gluten/bread for me. Went to the Dr. He said im not allergic but i dont make enough of the enzyme to break ot down. So once ive reached my max for the day the rest contributes to the bloat. So i can have a sandwich for linch or pasta for dinner but mot both. And neither if had a muffin in the am. |
It’s not true for me. And I’ve always wondered what my “bloaty” friends might be doing so I clicked on this thread. But maybe not changeable even though it’s not universal. |
Same, OP. I eat steel cut oatmeal (plain) every day and I've been wondering if this is the cause for me. I love the oatmeal, though. |
Is sparkling water carbonated? That could contribute to belly bloat. |
I think everyone looks bigger when they have a day's worth of food and water in their stomach.
However, really intense bloating can be Celiac's or another food intolerance. If it really bothers you, try an elimination diet and see if you can identify a culprit. |
