OP - no they did not find out about J1. My J1 my boss is in Europe and when we did meet was usually before 9am.
J2 blindsided me as literally I was just doing absolute bare minimum at J1 as my goal was just to make it to next vesting and pocket some paychecks. No I can’t get unemployment. I am also not going on Cobra. My old job allows two jobs so no worries there. Just shocking this guy cut me off knowing I had three kids and a SAH wife. Mind you my staff loved me so did people I worked with. I was there a few weeks when I realized 80 percent of dept turned over on last 18 months. Then at a board meeting we blamed bad hires and turnover. I think deep down I kept old job as did not trust my new boss. Oh well thank God that guy did not do this in four weeks from now I would have no job. What a curve ball. I was 99.999 percent sure I quit or get fired J1 as was putting 80 percent of effort in J2.I literally worked J2 9-1 and 2-6 every day. J1 I just go online do work 730 to 8, 30 minutes during lunch and 30 minute at 6 pm. I even jump on Sunday night. Was a crappy off boarding. He had HR join. Then said his two sentences and handed me to HR. I laid off people I do whole thing. Not hand it to HR. |

Now my LinkedIn I wonder what happens. I just changed my title to generic job Title with no company name. I never deleted old company, never added new company, stopped posting and if anyone from new company tried to connect blocked them. Only two people did. They don’t see I blocked just hides my profile.
I am happy I was stealth mode off boarded. I have zero connections old company. But I really need to job hunt. Not looking forward to it. Only having a J1 is scary. |

It's called at will employment and you really don't need to worry unless you're doing a shitty job OP. Most employers aren't going to go through the hassle of firing you and the cost associated with replacing you and training your replacement if, say, they don't like the shirt you're wearing that day or they simply feel like getting rid of you. They just aren't able to fire you because of a reason that's part of a protected class (race, gender, ethnicity, etc.). |

Which job paid more: J1 or J2? It sounds like you really wanted to stick around J2 for the long haul.
Did you ever read or post to DCUM from a J2 device? They might have busted you that way. |

My boss has no clue. He fired me same reason he fired person before.
He did have me staff entire dept. I got it up and running. He literally fired or people quit whole dept. Once I restaffed it good people the micromanager boss would go directly to them by passing me. Also he had a good person just a bit to Junior to make head of dept. I think he wanted her to get it. But could not get board by in. So I was inserted. I almost don’t know what to do with my time. I was planning on retiring this J2. I am going ask for my bonus payout. Seems f upped to off me four weeks before bonus pay out. Only cause I just got a raise |
Like 400k between jobs. J2 paid 20k more in cash. I use phone DCUM and I have my personal lap top in office. I had three laptops in home office. J1, J2 and Personal |
