+1. It never ceases to amaze me how some people lack a basic understanding of nutrition. The juice is nature's way of getting you to eat the orange...which has fiber. Drinking orange juice is no better than drinking soda. You are just giving yourself a sugar high. |
A splash of juice is hardly the equivalent of soda. Seriously. A tablespoon of juice isn't going to give you a sugar high. |
Nothing wrong with a little 100% orange juice. Just read those labels.

You all never cease to amaze. Drinking some kind of franken-food is better than a little splash of OJ? |
Right? I don't add juice to my water, but there's no way that a little splash of actual fruit juice is that many calories or clearly worse for you than fake sugar. |
I can't decide who's worse: someone who thinks that a splash of juice heavily diluted in water is "no better than drinking soda" or "mainlining sugar," or someone who thinks that a splash of juice renders water no longer water. |
Jeez, you all need to learn to read. It is a fatloss strategy. I never said there was anything wrong with OJ. Just that if you are already not consuming very many calories, it is not wise to drink them. |
Water is not a diuretic. So yes, it still counts 100% as water. |
The water still counts for water intake.
And the calories from the juice still count as calorie intake. |
Coffee (caffeine) is a diuretic yet experts claim the water from coffee still counts. |
This is the most absurd thread I have read all day. I’m dumber for reading it and can’t believe this is what we are spending our time fighting about. I will now go drink my third tumbler of water, ice, and a splash of cranberry juice and put my brain to some better use. But first I’ll judge myself for taking the time to write this reply. |
Of course. Who is counting your water anyway? |
