It sounds like a horrible painful accident, but given that it was his leg (and apparently there was a doc on hand to apply a tourniquet), I think there is reason to hope the injuries are in fact not career-endingly "grave"...

I was once told a tourniquet should be reserved for severe injuries, because it makes amputation more likely.

Pretty sure the SnowCat already amputated the leg - you cannot reattach a limb that has suffered extensive crush injuries. He is very lucky his neighbor is a doctor familiar with tourniquet application he very likely would have died awaiting EMS otherwise, that is the risk of living in remote places with longer response times.

He’s always seemed like a good guy, I don’t know any of the super hero movies but he was excellent in The Hurt Locker. I truly wish him the best possible outcome and that if he survives and recovers he still finds a place in movies despite his new physical condition.

I'm sorry to hear this. I really love his work in the MCU universe and LOVED the Hawkeye series last year. He also seems like a genuinely good dude. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Something about the way it has been reported so far, I feel like maybe not death, but loss of limb. How else do you get in a snow plow accident besides it being terrible? It's not a few scratches.

Very promising Redskins player. He died after being attacked during a home invasion.

He was a football player for Commanders (called Redskins at the time). He was attacked at his home. Very sad. Also thinking of Anne Heche where initially she was called critical but stable. Hope I am wrong but given what happened this doesn’t look good.

Extra reports he’s conscious and speaking, having surgery today. Fingers crossed.

With the descriptions it sounds like an amputation is in the works. Hopefully just one limb.
