Menstrual Pad disposal at Home - What do you use?

Anonymous
Use the plastic wrapper and then wrap it in toilet paper. Dispose in a plastic bag in the bathroom trash can.

Use the wrap it comes in. Why is everyone wasting toilet paper?
Use a wastebasket with a lid.
What issues can there be?

Just TP.
I have started using cloth washable ones sometimes, in which case I rinse and put in a bag hanging on the door knob until laundry day.

Foil is pretty bizarre.

This is the weirdest troll post ever.

The plastic it comes in and then toilet paper. Empty trash more often. If you are really uncomfortable then just empty the trash can daily.

What??? Just fold them in thirds (the way they come packaged) and toss them in the bathroom trash can? If I’m at someone’s house or use the hall bathroom I’ll wrap in toilet paper first. Aluminum foil?

Are you and your MIL Puritans? Have you accused the neighbor of being a witch bc she uses tampons?

You can roll it up, blood side in, and put it in the individual wrap that it comes with, if that is the kind you use.

When I used pads in my younger days, that’s always what I did.

I also did this.

Same this is what I always do. It never occurred to me anyone else would do different tbh

+1. Why waste TP?

OP is trying to start a variation of brugundy washcloths.

What's the big deal anyway??

Anonymous wrote:What product or bagging method do you use for menstrual pad disposal at home? As my teen is starting her cycle, I grew up in a home where my mother advised me to use aluminum foil and my MIL would use paper sandwich bags in her home.

When I had kids I started using the diaper disposal bags but I would like to simplify things if possible. what recommendation do you have?

This is just creating more trash. So wasteful!

+1 wrap it came in, or just fold it up and toss it in

I use the wrap the pad comes in. It has an adhesive tab.

My newer favorite is a thread about what to do when you're staying at the inlaws and there's no trash can in the bathroom. One person said she provides a trash can but she asks guests to inform her if they've used it for used tampons and pads so she can empty the trash right away.

TP. Why would you spend money on anything else?!
Anonymous
Sometimes if I have spare empty tp rolls, I’ll shove them in there after wrapping in the liner it comes in.
