I find dogs annoying

Even a goldfish?

Some of you might find your lives happier if you had a sweet dog curled up on the floor next to you while you read, watch tv, work on the computer etc or could have a faithful companion to walk with you. Nothing like a sweet dog to enrich your life!

Talk like the rest of us haven't had a dog ever. I grew up in state collective farm with thousands of animals. My family had many animals over the years, including many pets.
It's just so clear now that we breed dogs to be small and cute for us, people. Same with ponies and all kinds of animals. Let's do it to plants but cut back on animals.
I don't like that some dogs get to have a massage, their hair done, and sit in strollers while other are skinned alive. There has to be a middle ground. Both extremes are our doing.

I also think they are gross. I like them. But it's nasty to have poop in your house and hair everywhere and a being jumping up on your body and slobbering.

They are disgusting and the owners are obnoxious

So many many germs. It's amazing i don't die of dysentery from just looking out my window!

I dislike them in restaurants. Aside from that I mostly just hate dogs that will not shut up and keep barking incessantly. My sister’s dog does this. Thankfully my dog very rarely barks - we are super lucky. Oh - and pit bulls still terrify me even if they are just walking quietly down the sidewalk. I can’t help it.

I have three hens in a coop in my backyard and my parents, appalled, said "but what about the NOISE?? Your neighbors will hate you!" Every single neighbor has at least one 100+ lb. dog that barks at every gust of wind. A little clucking doesn't even register.

If it's my own dog, sure.

Hey speaking of which, can my kid come rub their sugary hands on your new skirt and trip you while you try to squirm away? You'd really be joyful after that.

I don't like dogs either. I think it probably stems from having been bitten by my aunt's dog as a kid... I had a fear of dogs for a long time after that. I'm no longer afraid of them, but I would never own one.

This is a great thread as it reveals just what miserable people live in the DMV. Start a thread about how you find kids annoying next.

I love dogs, especially my own, but so many dog owners suck.
What irks me the most is letting them off leash everywhere. Aren't they afraid their dog is going to get hit by a car? I don't let my pup off leash anywhere that isn't completely enclosed. Not even so much because it's the law, but because I love her and don't want anything to do happen to her. It also bothers me that people bring their dogs to the grocery store. I like to take my dog out with me, but I don't take her anywhere she isn't allowed, and if I'm not sure, I don't. These are probably the same people who litter and do other anti-social, entitled things.

All that said, yes, dogs are extremely annoying. Mine is always following me around the house, and if she's sitting still, she's staring at me. If they were human beings, they'd be the neediest, most clingy people ever! But they're cute and they love us, so I just smile to myself when my dog is staring adoringly at me like a weirdo.

Humans are way worse for the environment than dogs

I love ‘em all. Yes I would like to pet your dog. Yes I would like to know his name and that of his best friend. Yes a I love her outfit. They are the most wonderful creatures and I’d trade most of my friends for dogs if I had to choose!

I have a dog and he doesn’t do this. Instead he whines and whines. Even if he is sitting next to me. No he has to be in my lap or smearing his butt on me while I try to watch tv. And I cannot stop petting him lest the whining begin again.
