| Unfortunately her only choice is to give the baby up for adoption. |
No, she has several options. She can come back in a week and petition again. Or she can keep the baby. I hope she has some strong friends right now. Whatever she decides, it's tough. |
The case was not remanded, as it should have been. The reactive responses aren't off-base. |
It’s so gross the way forced birthers try to excuse this stuff. |
x1 million Why do they hate women and children so much? |
For someone in care, it is not easy to travel to the courthouse and make a petition again Then she will have to find someone willing to do the procedure for next to nothing Perhaps a back street abortion is the way to go, or she could try and medically poison herself Having the baby or not having the baby will do nothing to save her from poverty |
I’m PP and making assumptions here - but maybe the friend that died was a huge source of support for her. Article says she wanted the pregnancy previously - perhaps in her grief she feels she can’t do this without her friend. Especially without the father involved. That’s understandable. The judge just wants to her to pause because it sounds like there is a lot of turmoil in this poor girls life. A baby will make it worse, no doubt, but I get wanting to give her time to make sure it’s what she wants to do. There are no takebacks. |

| The guardian or parent decides until the child is an adult. No different than other laws. |
They are monsters. Unbelievably arrogant monsters who obviously don't give a damn about children or babies. |
She’s being forced to carry a pregnancy that she doesn’t want. |
"a domestic supply of infants" She's not having the baby for her. That's the disconnect. The bet is that she'll give it up for adoption, but the odds are that she will try to raise it. If the child is released for adoption, it likely won't be as part of the "domestic supply of infants," but as an older child with some baggage and scars of various kinds. How long before they start making laws to force the baby away immediately after birth? Any bets? |
Generally women of all ages don't do this, even when that is the plan. They try to raise the baby. Sorry. Your going to have to make laws openly to take that choice away, if you want to guarantee free babies available. |
| Truly horrifying handmaids tale shit here. Because if she’s not mature enough to make the decision, surely that means she has to give the baby up for adoption. And it’s not like the judge is a parent who is denying permission but will support the child and baby. he’s just saying no. |
