Definitely a dwindling number in the past two months. But I am still in the Novid camp, despite multiple exposures. Every time I'm knowingly exposed or any time I have cold symptoms, I've tested. So either the tests are wrong, or I've never had it. I have had several colds over the past year.
Kids and spouse are the same as me, no one in our house has tested positive. We are not particularly careful. I don't go out of my way to be in crowds, but I don't avoid normal in person interactions like work, seeing friends, travel, eating out, etc. and don't wear masks. |
| I never had it or anyone in my family. Both parents work from home, kid at the elementary school. |
I’m anxious and one of my kiddos has a medical condition related to his kidneys where dehydration would be bad. So I’ll continue to be the overly crazies to avoid this thing as much as I can. I know it’s hard for others to understand. |
You may still have had it. DD had a cold for a day and we tested for three days because we were seeing relatives. All test negative, including the PCR. But then a cousin got sick at around the same time and we re-tested DD at around 6 days after her "cold." She was completely recovered at that time and we would have never tested her again if it weren't for the cousin getting covid. Her test came back positive at that point for two days. Zero symptoms then. The next day it was negative again. |
Who gives you your script? |
I think it is now very much higher than 50/50. Out of my team of 23, only 2 people have not had it. And many of these people are living pretty cautiously, working from home etc. As an aside, I suspect not many people are living (if that is what it can be called) as cautiously as you. It was one thing pre-vaccine, but to deny any non-masked socializing for years for something that, in the vast majority of cases, is no worse than the flu, seems, frankly, bonkers... |

I have not had it, and I've been living life totally normally for a long time now. No masks, traveling, seeing friends, going indoors, going to the gym, working in person, etc.
If I've gotten sick, I've tested several times (always negative). No reason to test if I feel healthy and well unless it's required for something. |
LOL no. |
Well if that’s your attitude I’m not surprised most of the people you know have gotten it. Where did I say no unmasked socializing? We keep socializing outside. Sometimes I wear a mask outside when we are socializing but the rest of my family doesn’t. |
Drive 30 minutes outside of DC. 99.9% of people are NOT living cautiously. The immediate DC area is a huge anomaly of very anxious people. |
PP, and I agree. I posted above that I have not had it, and have not been living remotely cautiously for over a year - still have not covid. And I know several people like myself. They're vaccinated, not Republicans, test if sick, but otherwise don't worry about it. |
I can only imagine how much fun your sweaty-faced outside socializing must be... |
N95 groupies. I love it. And totally agree.

DP. So what, what does that have to do with you or affect your life? I have long hair that I wear down sometimes in the heat. Do I have to cut my hair off so you don’t have to “imagine how much fun” my sweaty neck outside might be? |
Did you never learn myob or worry about yourself growing up? Is that a new concept to you? |
