I'm always dehydrated

Drink water when you first wake up on an empty stomach. I drink about 16-32oz first thing, before I shower or do anything else.

After that, sip on water throughout the day, drink a full glass with meals, and at least a full glass before heading to bed.

Everyone gets enough salt, don’t purposely add more. But yes switching to a good quality sea salt is better than using refined salt.

Get more potassium. Eat 1-2 bananas per day. Apricots, potatoes, cantaloupe are also good sources. Pure unsweetened coconut water is a great source too if watching calories/carbs as it is lower in calories/carbs than most of the high potassium foods.

Do you mean you constantly feel thirsty?

Do you mean you rarely pee throughout the day and when you do it's fairly concentrated?

What makes you not interested in your steel water bottle after 3 days? Too lazy to refill it? It's some where in the house and can't be bothered looking for it? Water tastes weird sipping from it?

For me, I like to drink out of a straw … faster uptake! No spilling. Helps me. I hate those stainless steel water bottles. The taste! Yech. I do plastic or glass.

salt will make you retain water but it has other harmful effects. why do you think your doc always tell you to cut salt? no sea salt is no different. salt is salt

Sigh. Some people need different thing. My doctor specifically told me to add salt to my diet. I don’t eat many processed foods and must remember to add more salt, it has helped tremendously.

Same. We eat very few processed foods and rarely eat out, so intentional electrolyte replacement (salt/sugar) along with hydration is important for me.
