Naomi Judd removed both daughters from her $25 million will

Oh well.

She cut them out in 2017. She had 5 years and a pandemic to reinstate them. This was a deliberate FU. Interesting since they all lived together.

Plus? Her daughters are each freaking multi-millionaires in their own right, and have the capacity to continue to make millions of dollars from music, film, book deals, speaker fees, appearances, etc. They’re fine.

The ‘children’ are mid-50s.

This type of comment is peak DCUM.

I think this drama is manufactured. When my grandpa died, everything went to his wife. And when she died, her will was the one that was followed

Not as though her daughters were in financial need and she injured them by not providing additional resources. What’s the big deal? Aren’t people free to do what they wish with the money they earned?

Wynonna is probably not that well-off, financially. Doesn’t seem like the type to save for the future and was probably counting on that inheritance.

Ashley’s probably doing a bit better.

What? You know nothing about their finances.

It’s public knowledge Wynonna’s been in-patient therapy for money problems.

Correct, and his life partner for over 30 years, whose money it was, trust d him to make decisions as to who he would bequeath it to. No surprise here.

He’s not their father. Interesting choice to give it all to him. He could remarry tomorrow and every dime would go to his new wife. Especially hurtful since the money Naomi made came from her daughter’s powerful voice.

This happens really often. So many men marry again and the new wife gets 100%, including jewelry and possessions of the first wife. And first wife’s family’s possessions that she had inherited. Ask me how I know. You only get to choose your heirs if you’re the last to die.

In my case, when it was clear that I am wholly financially stable, I actually requested that each of my parents remove me from their wells as there are others who would benefit and need it more. Again, I’m not a self absorbed entitled individual. So, for me, it sounds like a wife decided to leave her a state to her husband. Nothing to see here, and nobody left destitute.

Yes, my father left everything to his 3rd wife, and she told me she can't wait to buy her sister a new house. We have a child with special needs. Very sad, the useless step parent money grabbing vultures.

The relationship between Naomi Judd and her daughters was not all roses. All three of them have said that there were long periods of estrangement. And both Wynonna and Ashley had successful careers of their own. They shouldn’t need this money.

Although I imagine the will was a fraction of what Naomi had. Much of it likely passed outside of probate, maybe her home and stocks. Did she have her own music rights?

My grandfather had a girlfriend who insisted on marrying. I remember how miserable and embarrassed he looked when he announced their engagement. He ended up dragging his feet until she moved on.

She was mentally ill, that’s why.
