Agree if it's not at an intersection. But what if there is a crosswalk? What about an unmarked crosswalk? |
Them move over when you're finished, obviously. This isn't hard. |
I don't think 99% of people understand what an unmarked crosswalk is or the law related to it. |
It just seems so hard for the person behind me to stay at a safe following distance until I'm done passing. Really hard to understand unless you get that they are self important today DC area losers. |
In the future, I think I would in theory be quite happy if elderly people had to have driverless cars. Seen so many dangerous elderly drivers who don’t recognise (or don’t want to) their decline. |
I just had to look it up. Was not familiar with the term. I think drivers should always stop for pedestrians at a marked crosswalk. But I run a lot and I’ve had drivers come to complete stops in the middle of a road to wave me across, then we get in to this awkward “you go,” “no, you go,” exchange. Driver seems to think they’re being nice, but they’re not paying attention to cars barreling down the road in the opposite direction who have no intention of stopping (nor should they.) Seems the same could easily happen at an unmarked crosswalk. And a marked one, too, really, but at least most drivers know to look out for pedestrians there (at least I hope they do). |
Sitting in your car with it running idle for a prolonged period of time is destroying your car and the environment, plus it's illegal. I hate people who do this (unless it's freezing cold or really hot out, otherwise sit in the shade with the windows down) |
If I want to drive 90, 65 or 50 and I'm in an HOV lane during HOV hours, TOO BAD if you want to use it to pass. I will drive whatever speed I want, suckers! |
i.e. the road? |
Try again, and this time without telling us you don't know the law. |
When a lane is closed ahead, drivers should fully utilize both lanes until the lane ends and zipper merge at that point. Those who designate themself the merge police and block perfectly usable lane a quarter mile before it ends are very stupid, as are those who won’t let drivers zipper merge from the ending lane. |
You seem nice. Not at all like a loser. |
You don’t need to go 5 mph on the beltway onramp. That is the time to start speeding up.
I’m talking to all of you getting on the beltway at CT Ave! |
Similar if you are stopping to wave me to turn left in front of you on a road where others can pass on your right. I don't trust those other drivers to stop (many will go flying around you) and I can't see them very well around your car. I'd rather wait for the traffic to clear and/or where I can see clearly. They think they're being nice and helpful, but it's super frustrating and dangerious. |
Yes to all of this! |
