In at Cal tech . Rejected. at MIT. White male

DD and 1 other student from her HS: IN at a not-to-be-named OOS university. They were the only two, from her HS that applied and both got in. Other student got into the university's Honors College, DD was denied that. DD received merit aid of 1/2 off the tuition, for 4 years, other student did not. And it was a merit scholarship. It was not based on financial need.
