MD Dems better not nominate a Progressive this time around

Meh, there's not much daylight among the candidates on the issues. Franchot is more moderate and would play better outside the I-95 corridor than the other candidates. But on all the big issues, they are all in lockstep. You're voting for form over substance in this primary.

The polling in this election has been pretty much useless.

Moore's most recent internal poll that they released shows Franchot in front at 21% and Moore with 20%. Huge number of voters undecided and no one knows how they will break.

NP. I'm with you. If I was still back there, I'd vote for him purely because he's the only one who's not a D.C.-area creature. I like my Baltimore-area creatures, thank you.

I'm fine with a progressive, but I also voted for Hogan last time because the DEM candidate was terrible. These corporate democrats like Biden are a bigger problem for me. They refuse to do anything helpful and are afraid to rock the boat.

If the dems put a moderate up it is a sure lose for them. Moderates are trumpers.

Team Perez here, that is who I am voting for! Would also be ok with Wes Moore. NOT Franchot or Gansler...

And this is why we often lose. We hate our own more than the other team, and are constantly at the ready to put people through some pogram until it hurts.

VOTE DEMOCRAT PLEASE.

A GOP candidate, however principled and competent, will be pressured by their now extreme right-wing party to curtail freedoms. Freedom to walk down the street without being gunned down, and freedom to dispose of one's organs as one sees fit. Pretty basic, but apparently not to the current GOP.

So please vote for the most principled and competent Democrat. Whoever they are.

Don't forget freedom to work without getting a vaccine.

Whatever you want within reason, PP. We should be ready to move to the center to draw Independents and moderate Republicans who are horrified at the trampling of women's rights and concerned about mass shootings. We need to unite to protect our lives from the murderous fanatics on the extreme right.

I personally am very lefty, but I always vote useful.

I will vote for Tom Perez because I’ve worked with him and because I’ve heard him speak, with common-sense and respect, about the need for bipartisanship. We cannot continue with extremism and no attempts to connect with each other. I’m over the toxic partisanship, and I won’t be told how to vote. Bye.

My Anne Arundel neighborhood is full of people who vote mixed tickets, hate Trump, liked Hogan. Don’t forget there’s a lot more to MD than MoCo…

Please try to get through to them that we need to vote Blue at all levels of government, to protect girls and women, and to prevent the country being awash in guns. Pick the most centrist Democrat if you want.
