Unless you count gelato as ice cream, in which case Pitango is a contender. We go to Pitango for stracciatella (aka chocolate chip), cardamom, and fior di latte and Sarah’s for strawberry or blueberry. |
The guy who started it worked at Giffords but he is Jamaican so the Caribbean flavors are the best but some people say the swiss chocolate is very Giffords-esque. It is far and away the best ice cream I’ve found in the area |
| I love Moorenko’s ice cream. They use really high quality ingredients and have some cool flavors. |
| Jeni's! |
| Sarah’s handmade. The flavors are so creative, |

Cafe Lillit has pretty good gelato There’s a place called Italian store in Annapolis that has really good gelato. |
Thanks for the info! My favorite flavor at Giffords was coconut, so it sounds like it would be worth it to make the trek to Rockville. |
Good to know! I hadn’t realized this was still around. |
I’ve gotten it with home delivery and it’s been nothing special. What flavors? Best commercially available are still Tillamook and Haagen Daz. |

Peach is my favorite. They have real, fresh peaches. It’s only available in season |
| Tipped Cow in Purcelville |
I agree and I hate that they just give you the flavors they want rather than the ones you want. |
