Jif not jug.

Dang. Had to toss one half-full and two unopened jars.

Toss? I am returning my opened jar to Sam’s Club.

This is why I am, and will always be, a Skippy girl.

JIF is so gross. Why do you all buy that? I'm serious. Have you tried PB that isn't Jif? It's just so much better. I think you may not even know what PB is supposed to taste like.

I was following the Jif recall on Twitter and cracking up about how many people seem to buy Jif exclusively for their dogs.

Heads up that stores do not necessarily pull these off the shelves in a timely manner. DH went to Harris Teeter today and the recalled jars were on the shelves.

The website says to throw it away and for stores to discard.

I would like to know this two -- I just bought a mamoth double pack at Costco but I also had another double pack in pantry, someone smaller jars, all 4 of them are part of the recall. That's a lot of $$ to toss out.

Costco would let you return those -- even opened and even without the recall.

Costco is great about recall items. When Neutrogena sunblock was recalled they reached out to me to let me know to bring them back for a refund. I can't remember if it was an email or robo voicemail.

I have a recalled product. If we’ve been eating and are OK does this mean mine is fine?

My parents ate from recalled jars and have been having some gastrointestinal issues. Anyone know if there is a test or treatment? I told them to call their Dr today.

Just checked, and we are the same.

I wouldn’t eat that. I can’t imagine the $2-3 or whatever of leftovers is worth risking salmonella, but of course ymmv.

+1 Please, what kind? And none of that truly all-natural stuff that separates into an oily layer on top. Not doing that.

Out of the blue, I had the biggest craving for PB & J sandwiches last week. We don't keep PB at home because DS is allergic to peanuts. So I bought a jar of Jif from CVS to keep at my office and had sandwiches all week. My jar was included in the recall, thank god I didn't get sick! I threw it away this morning.
