well, they can hang out on tutor.com all summer and voila!... they should be back on their game!

| Upper Grade AAP. All kids passed both reading and Adv Math. 50 percent passed adv on Math. |
| General Ed- 100% pass math; 95% pass reading; Not sure if the pass advance breakdown |
| Typical scores. They seem the same as any other year. Algebra 2 |
Very interesting that another math teacher said this. Your Algebra 2 students had Algebra 1 2 years ago when school shut down so they missed a lot of foundation. Are you in an affluent area where a lot of people hire tutors? |
| My child is in a 5th grade AAP. He said 7 kids had to retake the math test and 9 kids retook the science test (I did not allow retakes so I don't know if he passed or not, or how many other parents forbade retakes for fails). 23 kids in class. |
I teach MS math. By March 85% off the content was already covered, they didn’t miss nearly as much as everyone thinks. Many of us taught the rest of the content once we were back online in the Spring. |
This! I had one unit left in AAP math when we went home. Finished it out online. |
Wow, that's bad. |
I can't imagine my kid knowing numbers for who is doing a retake. |
If a lot of my students have tutors, I don’t know about it. We covered all of the Algebra II standards in class with a little enrichment plus a little review of Algebra 1 concepts. We do this every single year. In a normal year before covid, we had to review some algebra 1 concepts in certain units because they wouldn’t remember. This wasn’t that different. For example, some students always needed review on exponents, graphing, writing equations, factoring etc because they couldn’t remember. Experienced math teachers incorporate review into lessons and always spiral back. |
| 17:41 again. I wanted to add that only about 10% of my students took the SOL since not as many take it in high school. I don’t teach honors so I don’t have the freshman. I had one student fail by one question. He will pass on the retake. This is typical for Alg 2 at my school. |
| MS- English scores a little higher than usual, math the same, science lower (covers 6,7,8….which is crazy to begin with). |
| Elementary teacher here: terrific scores all around! |
| So it sounds like on average the kids rebounded from pandemic losses. I am wondering though if it's just affluent areas? |
