A number of the most vulnerable, seniors and those with health conditions and those who refuse to vaccinate, have already had covid and recovered or not. Now, the virus has mutated to become more transmissible and much less lethal. The pandemic is over.

A new variant could be worse, and the pandemic could return. But right now, the pandemic is over.

Its not over.

Yes, it is.

It was refreshing to go away for spring break and not have to wear a mask, except for on the plane, all week.

Wasn't refreshing for my cousin, who got covid that morphed into pneumonia.

I suspect money. They were supposed to have updated vaccines so the question is what happened to them.

Hospitalizations and death rate is what really matters. Flu-like symptoms at home will always be around for susceptible individuals. Work to beef up your immunity if you want.

Yes, Hospitalizations and deaths will lag. Don’t be so defensive. Nobody’s asking you to do anything different or change your behavior. But you don’t get to wave your hands and declare that it’s over and no big deal and never will be a problem again. Not while it’s either simmering (here) or exploding (Shanghai, UK, Canada). We don’t exist in a magical bubble.

How do you “beef up” your immunity?

We certainly don't live in the magical bubble that is China's zero covid policy. Thankfully.

How do you “beef up” your immunity?

Eat healthy, exercise, mind your vitamins/minerals, drink water, get plenty of sleep, minimize stress, etc.

Fascinating how there’s such little discussion about this on a “heath” forum.

You cut off the part of my post you so breezily replied to; I’m a cancer patient who wishes nothing more than covid would magically disappear as it has in your mind. Despite the fact that I have healthy habits, and indeed, excellent blood cell counts for a chemo patient, we are living a horrible half existence where we have to be covid-cautious and still try to get out and make memories with our children as my health allows. So try to show some compassion for the people you are writing off as just needing to “beef up” their immunity. Peace.

No one is testing anymore. We've received several emails about cases in my kids' schools.

I didn’t cut-off anything. I answered a general question. Obviously, each individual MUST access their OWN risk.

Our last reported case was in February. We are now a week and a half past spring break.

This is the real issue or home testing. We've been sick and we home tested but did not bother with a PRC as we were too sick to go and what was the point given we were home.

No snark intended, but my DH had to quarantine while fighting stage 4 cancer. Covid and Cancer suck. I wish you the best, and do live your life. ❤️
