How's this possible. Shouldn't there be a spike like every holiday.

| It’s still early. |

Omicron really is less dangerous. A number of the most vulnerable, seniors and those with health conditions and those who refuse to vaccinate, have already had covid and recovered or not. Now, the virus has mutated to become more transmissible and much less lethal. The pandemic is over.
A new variant could be worse, and the pandemic could return. But right now, the pandemic is over. |
| With more home testing and not reporting, its impossible to know. |
|
Cases in MoCo have quadrupled in a month.
I'm not saying it was either spring break (way too soon to see that) or taking off masks. But you can't really say "no change". |
| Lots of Natural immunity since so many people had covid at Christmas. Cases reporting is low because people aren’t getting PCR anymore. Hospitalizations will lag. |
Its not over. |
I know it’s hard to comprehend when the narrative you’ve been fed doesn’t prove to be true. Thoughts and prayers. |
Yes, it is. It was refreshing to go away for spring break and not have to wear a mask, except for on the plane, all week. |
There is a huge spike in cases in the northeast and DC. I know several people who have covid right now. Yes, it’s been mild for them, but it hasn’t disappeared. It’s continuing to mutate. I wish like hell it would go away because I’m going through chemo for stage 4 cancer and would prefer not to die of covid while I’m fighting the cancer. |
Yes, actually, it is. I know that's hard for you and that your mask has become your identity, but cheer up. I'm sure there is another crisis on the horizon that you can personalize in a similar way. |
I am so sorry. Cancer sucks. As do people who care more about their own weird political narrative that covid is over them about your life. |
| Why won't the government admit the new covid is not as dangerous as the old, and the vaccine only works on the old nonexistent strain |
This. All of it. |
Hospitalizations and death rate is what really matters. Flu-like symptoms at home will always be around for susceptible individuals. Work to beef up your immunity if you want. |
