If Goulet, Duncan or Thomas really wanted to be honest, they would identify locations in their neighborhood, Palisades, where workforce and affordable housing could be developed.
Instead, they chose to live in an isolated neighborhood and want to manage the rest of the ward from their perch. |

Can anyone tell me anything about where Monte Monash falls on the spectrum? She seems like a normal, pragmatic Democrat, but its so hard to sift through the progressive BS talking points on each website.
Recognizing that the relatively well-off neighborhoods of Ward 3 don't need "help," I want someone that represents MY interests on the council, not Ward's 7 and 8 for the sake of equity. I suppose I'm looking for the most conservative (in a field of dems) candidate. Any help? |
What are your interests and how do they differ from someone who lives on the East End? |
East End with the shiny new apartment buildings attractive to millennials and GenZ doesn't have the owners of the Class B multifamily rental buildings handing out vouchers to the mentally ill unhoused in order to keep their rents up like Ward 3 does. This means that Ward 3 is seeing a substantial uptick in frightening/threatening behaviors, i.e., the elderly couple who were beaten by the panhandler at Cathedral Commons, the constant police calls to the Days Inn on Connecticut, the guy out kicking pedestrians' dogs in Palisades. East End has to worry aboiut carjackings and being caught in cross-fire of battling drug crews. |
| Forgot to add---Ward 3 also has to worry that the "soak the rich" Council will continue to increase the budget, refuse to live within the City's means, and jack the income tax rate again. . . . . |
| Im the original Ward 3 pp, not the person above, but my interests include a concern over "soak the rich" tax plans, overcrowding in my neighborhood schools, traffic safety for my kids, increasing crime, homelessness and mentally ill folks that are impacting my quality of life and safety, and carte blanche COVID precautions that until recently were not tailored to the vaccination rates of the area in which I live. |
Well if you want conservative, Monash is a republican, so not very normal for Ward3. She switched to dem to run for this seat. Donated to pence. https://mobile.twitter.com/ryangrim/status/1520075535099076608 |
Right and a year ago we had no vaccine sites despite having a much higher percentage of elderly. I had to drive my fragile 80 year old father 45 minutes to get his vaccine. |
This was the answer I was looking for, thanks. She has my vote. |
| Don't vote for Monash. There are many moderates in this race who won't act as a rubber stamp for the mayor like she will. Look at Duncan and Goulet. They actually have their own ideas and opinions. |

Goultet is a pro-business shill.
Tricia uses the buzzwords but has no idea what she is saying. |
LOL. No matter how many “affordable” apartments get built, they are still apartments. Most MPD officers prefer to live like the rest of us, in a house with a yard where they can BBQ and relax. |
| Goulet just f*cked over our new Ward 3 high school. Over my dead body will I vote for him. |
He's not on the council, he didn't do anything. |
Pls explain why you think this is true. Should be interesting or at least creative |
