She seems like a normal, pragmatic Democrat, but its so hard to sift through the progressive BS talking points on each website. Recognizing that the relatively well-off neighborhoods of Ward 3 don't need "help," I want someone that represents MY interests on the council, not Ward's 7 and 8 for the sake of equity. I suppose I'm looking for the most conservative (in a field of dems) candidate. Any help? What are your interests and how do they differ from someone who lives on the East End?
East End with the shiny new apartment buildings attractive to millennials and GenZ doesn't have the owners of the Class B multifamily rental buildings handing out vouchers to the mentally ill unhoused in order to keep their rents up like Ward 3 does. This means that Ward 3 is seeing a substantial uptick in frightening/threatening behaviors, i.e., the elderly couple who were beaten by the panhandler at Cathedral Commons, the constant police calls to the Days Inn on Connecticut, the guy out kicking pedestrians' dogs in Palisades. East End has to worry aboiut carjackings and being caught in cross-fire of battling drug crews.
