What would you recommend |
Yes this. |
Dishes of India just south of Old Town - fantastic food. |
| Rasika, especially Rasika West End. |
Lots of Indian people also like Rasika |
Totally agree with Dishes of India. It is in the Belle View Shopping Center. We love it! We also like Taj of India on Rt. 1, about a mile away. So 2 great Indian restaurants within a mile of each other. We're blessed! |
| I’m Indian. I like Jewel of India and Heritage India for traditional Indian. I like the spinach chat at Rasika and the Indian inspired stuff. |
|
Indian person here.
Rasika - great food, cocktails, atmosphere Raaga (VA) - North Indian Fare Woodlands (Va) - South Indian Fare Mama Tigre (Va) - Indian/Latin Fusion, great flavors |
|
Rasika would be my top pick, followed by Bindaas in DC. Punjab Grill, Daru next.
In VA, I've heard good things about Celebration by Rupa Vira, but not been. |
|
Upscale: Punjab Grill followed by Rasika and Bombay Club
Solid: Indiqué Trendy: Bindaas Fast casual: RASA in Capitol waterfront |
| Not sure how far into MD you're willing to go but Royal Taj in Columbia is the gold standard for the area. |
+1 except Woodlands (MD). Never been to the one in VA. |
|
DH is from India and we Love Punjab Grill but it has been "temporarily closed" since November. I hope it reopens.
Karma is really good as well. We live in Bethesda and our local pick is Passage to India. Consistently good. |
