What are your kids saying about how many students/teachers masked today (3/1)?

MS kid said only a handful of unmasked kids - maybe 3 total in her classes. And she said none were near her so she didn't pay much attention to them.

ES kids (5th) said only 1 kid in class. 1st grader said that there were more - maybe 10 - but then she could only name 2 kids. I think 1st grader could've had numbers off plus they're not good with masks anyway at that age.

Overall, glad to see that most are adhering to public safety.

CDC says no masks indoors at schools are just fine right now. What do you mean by “adhering to public safety”?
You don’t think people should follow science?

My HS kid said about 50% unmasked. I think he is still masking at least part time, depending on the situation.

Teacher here. No one in my class unmasked. Only 3 kids in whole grade level did.

One kid in upper ES reports 80% unmasked. Younger sibling reports the opposite in their class.

MS student said he counted 35 unmasked kids today including on bus and in hallways. He said most of his classes everyone was in a mask.

What? Teachers/admin are still required to mask so why were the not in masks?

Teachers/admin are NOT required to mask. This changed when the CDC guidance changed to no longer recommend masking in Fairfax County.

My 6th grader said only about 5 kids were unmasked today (he was one of them) and his teachers were not masked.

My 3rd grader said about half of his class did not mask and his teacher didn't wear one either. Art teacher did mask. PE teacher did not.

My kid said only the known Republican kids unmasked, and though she wanted to unmask, she even more didn't want to be associated with Republicans.
