I'm just curious!
Please share the school if you feel comfortable. |
| My freshman said only one student unmasked in her first period class. She walked by one of her other teacher's first period class, and the teacher was the only one unmasked. No reports from the other periods. |
| MS DS reported one kid in his math class. He didn’t notice any teachers or admins. All of his friends are still wearing them. We have told him, he has to wear it until spring break, after that it is his choice. We don’t want to screw up our spring break travel with Covid/cold/flu et . |
| He saw fewer than five unmasked kids in his high school. |
| Both of DD’s teachers have said they will unmask. She asked me what I thought, because she wants to stay masked. I said it was her choice, but also that between the hand washing and masking, none of us have been sick at all the last couple of years, so if she wanted solid rationale for keeping the protocols, she has it. We’ll see how the class responds. |

I work in a private preschool (4 year olds) that has been all masks up until today, and today a few kiddos were unmasked.
I realize preschool is probably not what the OP was asking about, but it’s still a measure of where people are. Most all families asked that their 4 year olds stay in masks, and one family unenrolled because the program would not require masks as of today. Teachers stayed in masks today, but I suspect some will be no masks after today. |
| My kids went without masks. I planned on keeping masks until CDC new guidelines and that happened, so that was it for us. I saw all the staff wearing masks in the morning. Honestly, I don’t care and hope that teachers are not so basic that they would treat kids without masks differently. There are bigger problems in the world right now than masks in schools |
| FCPS math teacher here. In my classes -- about 18% of students were unmasked. In my department -- about 20% of teachers were unmasked. |
| My other kid only saw about 15 kids without masks in her whole high school. |
| TJ parent - DC reported only one student unmasked in first period. Haven’t heard about the rest of his classes yet. |
| It will be nice when kids don’t feel the peer pressure to keep the masks on. |
| DD is in HS. Said about 10% unmasked. |
I would agree with this at my HS. Maybe a bit more. |
My kid was told they will only be allowed to come to advisory or for support after school if they are wearing a mask by one of their teachers. Their class was also told that they will have to sit in the back of the classroom if they choose to not wear a mask.

| Three kids out of 15 unmasked in Kindergarten. My DD was masked yesterday, today she is not. |
