Tom Brady retires

1) Brady is the GOAT and it’s not even close. Read https://slate.com/culture/2022/02/tom-brady-retirement-career-crushed-rivals.html and this Tweet sums it up well too https://twitter.com/benbbaldwin/status/1488526036673380358?s=21 So fans of other teams are definitely jelly.

2) Brady also has sort of a low key eccentric reputation, tenuous ties to Trump, his long time nutrition guru Alex Guerrero is kind of woo-woo, stuff like that. Other ex-QB’s go into broadcasting or coaching or just doing lots of media appearances and stuff, Tom Brady will probably put his name on a line of borderline sketchy supplements and start shilling NFT’s and crypto on social media.

Good riddance.

Patrick Mahomes is so much hotter. I love his body.

Maybe. One for thing for sure: he will be laughing all the way to the bank with his beautiful family. Which is exactly why the haters het him.

I resisted thinking this for a long time, but any reasonable person has to concur. And it is not really debatable in terms of his accomplishments. It is debatable perhaps in terms of some subjective skills, but I won't go there.

Thanks, PP. I was actually vaguely aware of all that, but I seriously thought there must be something more to it! Interesting...

Don't forget the cheating.

But it's really mostly because he is the GOAT.

I definitely hate Belichick more than Brady

Well, even Goodell appreciated all that Brady brought to the NFL, and all Brady's records. Not that Brady cares what Goodell has to say.

Boston/NE sports fans can be so obnoxious so his retirement announcement is kind of funny, but I am truly wondering - was it unintentional that he didn't mention the Patriots and their fans or was it an intentional, salty snub?

I read the whole thing and it was so pointed and blatant that I thought it must be intentional.

OP, people also hate Brady because anyone on the opposing team’s defense who touches him gets flagged for a penalty.

Tom is so careful there is no way the omission of NE was unintentional.
