I haven't left my house in 12 days...literally.

I think it's self perpetuating though. Agoraphobes think it's totally normal and they're just fine not leaving the house or interacting with other people (not on camera, not in their household), and that there's nothing wrong with them and they're just happier that way.

12 days without leaving the house sounds seriously unwell.

I feel better when I leave the house every day - even if it's a 20 minute walk - and I think fresh air is good and that you get vitamin D from the sun - but if you're happy and fine - you do you.

I went outside in my yard today to replenish all the feeders and heated birdbaths in anticipation of the storm. Other than that, I have been indoors at home for around a week - and happily.

I have a newborn and I haven’t left my house in 3 weeks I’ve done mail a few times but that’s it. I get it OP it’s cold it’s miserable there’s a pandemic and there’s no point.

I have a very sunny home. I actually shut the door of my room, strip, and sun myself every day next to a sunny window. Sometimes I sun my perineum too.

If you feel happy and content, keep going. I can understand this. Having a rest from all the driving was so good during the “staying home” part of the pandemic.

I can happily stay inside for days in a row.

Where did you buy your heated birdbath?

If you sun your perineum - why are you even posting here, you got it all figured out. You don't need us

Human beings need to be outdoors. There is nothing healthy or natural about staying in your house for 12 days, OP. And for the PP with the newborn, the same is true for you. You and the baby need to be outdoors at least once a day. Your baby needs sunlight.

I stayed inside for a week and my dh thought I went crazy or something. I am WFH during Covid + exercise at home. I rarely watched tv before. I am addicted to Mon.- Fri. Shows now from 7-4 and working on the coach. I am very extroverted turned hermit. I get you OP!

It’s not healthy to deprive yourself of sunlight and fresh air for 12 days, OP. It’s going to increase your risk of Alzheimer’s.

Get outside and walk in the sun.

12 days is too long in my opinion. It’s not a healthy example to set for your kids. Even if you can do it without triggering sluggishness or depression or general blahness, that doesn’t mean your kids can follow that example.

There's been hardly any sun, though! I love the sun and I've hated these past couple weeks. I did get out to shovel last snow, but I'm like OP: I could stay indoors for days and days on end and not feel like I'm missing anything.

Also like OP, I love to bake with my kids.

Peloton and home gyms makes it easy to never leave the house. I’m surprised you haven’t done a grocery run

That isn't healthy. At all.
