I haven't left my house in 12 days...literally.

I have a very sunny home. I actually shut the door of my room, strip, and sun myself every day next to a sunny window. Sometimes I sun my perineum too.

God help anyone who walks in on that!

Don’t worry, PP is a cat. I walk in on my cat all the time, and he looks me dead in the eyes and says, “Mind your own business Christina.”

So I turn around a walk out. NBD

If I’m not cold wearing this stuff on the top of a windy mountain with single digit temps or lower due to the wind, you’re not going to be cold in 20-30 degree weather in NoVa.

It hasn't been this consistently cold in the DMV in years. I don't have long underwear, ski pants, etc.

Look, I get that some folks need to go outside every day, cold be damned, and truly get something out of it. Go have fun on your brisk January walk. Enjoy!!

But can you northern people please accept that not everyone likes that? That's why so many people retire to Florida and Arizona....

I've done this. It's not a big deal. I live alone too and have no exercise equipment.

It's freezing cold and a pandemic. It's fine.

I'm an introvert and a homebody, but would be really low energy if I did that. It energizes me to at least go out for a drive, walk around Lowes or even eat lunch out alone! But I've never been that long without leaving the house (or even close) except for being sick.

Candidly, this is the silver lining of the pandemic for me: working from home, and not having to run around on the weekends.

FTR, I'm not sick. I'm not depressed.

I spent today (Saturday) binge watching a couple shows while doing some housework here and there.

Anyone else, or am I a freak?

You definitely are depressed. You haven't even gone outdoors, for a walk? Gotten some vitamin D? Interacted with humans you don't live with? Like mild eye contact? You had no joy or interest in leaving your home? That's not normal, or remotely healthy.

Hell I'm an introvert, and the last time I time I stayed totally and completely home bound, was for 48 hours when I had the flu 7 years ago.

I had no idea that your life was the gauge against which we should all compare ourselves. Good to know.

Thank you. The judgement is obnoxious.

Nope, I don't think it's that bad. It's Covid, winter, WFM, and she said she's gone to the mailbox. I mean, why go out in a crowded store when you can chill in your house. I do think a walk each day would help with some sunlight but not knocking you. I get it now after everything we have been through staying at home. I've gotten so used to staying at home and find so much comfort and joy just staying in.

I could totally do this, OP! DH likes to walk the dog. During winter, I’m good with my Pelaton rides. We have several older/ teen kids in and out. So enough social interaction at dinner. I have a very demand job and am not traveling (omicron).
