| No point to a U15 National Camp. 14 year olds are miles away from being complete players. |
Who’s jealous? ^^^This guy! |
No - don’t have a 14 year old, but way too soon, especially for males who are still in the throes of puberty. |
| If you can play two age groups up and keep your head above water you can probably make the national team at u15. |
| None of the girls listed play 2 age groups up. What are you talking about. |
| One of the McLean girls plays two age groups up and the Ajax girl played two age groups up when she lived here before moving to Europe. She’s been playing in the boys league in Europe, I think. |
One does for sure and she has been watched closely as a prospect for years in this area. I am happy for her and the others, and I cannot understand for one second why others would not be. |
| This is a camp. Not a roster spot. |
The two girls and one of the boys used to train with Joga as well. |
| Watching some of the videos of the players... they are so very very young. Long way to go. |
And? |
|
I said if you CAN, not if you do. Players who are capable of playing two age groups up are physically gifted but then they're also very good players as well.
When these kids are very young they are force-fed soccer by their parents until they develop their own passion for the game. |
The 07 from McLean is the player from Metro GA who parents on this forum have been hating on for years- saying she’s not good enough, etc. She’s controlling games for 05 McLean this year- guess the mean/jealous parents were wrong. |
Started with playing on a top Bethesda Boys team before going to Metro. Bottom line, parents followed the right path if this their daughter's passion. Start with boys, play up as long as physically and mentally possible. We've seen this approach with just about every top player in the country for years. It truly is the model for highest success for the very best. FYI, there is an 08 that plays in the '05 Florida United GA (ranked #9 in the US) that has also been invited to this camp. |
| when everyone has finished growing, thats when the real selection begins. players at 14 are still in puberty. |
