There are a few players from Virginia are represented in this training camp roster. There also were two DC United players selected for the U15 boys' camp. |
| There is new club we haven't discussed represented here - Ajax. |
From the article: Midfielder Lily Yohannes currently plays in the Netherlands for the academy of famed Dutch club Ajax. |
She must have some crazy soccer parents and be headed for burn out if you believe what you read on this trashy forum
|
| Good for them! |
Her older brother Aethan made the U15 USYNT a few years ago while playing in Holland as well. Great family. |
So I remember when she played here. There were some rumors going around that her Birth Certificate is falsified. Not saying it is true but at the time I think she was U10 playing up 2 years. She was moved to AJAX right after those rumors were making the rounds. I could certainly see why some thought (even on the age she was playing) that but I won’t get into anymore details. Extremely talented even more so than the others from our area. One player who made it was just to throw a certain organization a bone I think. Again, don’t get me wrong, she is very good but I would have probably taken others, even from our area, instead. |
It certainly helps to have the scout on your staff and driving carpool for your club. |
FCV or VDA? |
I don’t think that’s how the YNT selections work, they have concacaf in the summer. Every player selected has most likely been watched by several scouts on several different occasions. |
| Their dad moved to the Netherlands specifically so their kids could have open doors for their soccer career. |
| Where did the two boys named to the USMNT U15 camp roster play before DC United? I know some younger players are on United's U15 team but it is the youngest age group for the academy. Congratulations to them! |
Obviously Ajax.

One played for FPYC and then Bethesda South. |
Don't believe anything you read on this board. |
