Well, by then the new school district will be aware of the damage that “woke” and equity has done and will be backpedaling furiously as we are already witnessing so she won’t be rehired.

FCPS lied about the number of low income students in the class of 2025. They knew that this was self-reported and based on a question that any child could say yes to in if they were reading it literally. They knew that it had nothing to do with if a child was actually low income. But they still put it into the press release to make themselves look good.

I wonder if part of the reason that she is leaving is due to this?

Lisa Williams is interesting. How is the equity lottery class of TJ fairing. Normally, the first semester (really the first year) is pretty easy. Are they having a large number of drop backs or are the teachers revolting over the need for math remediation?

The need for math remediation is not new to TJ. They've had this issue before with kids who were hyper accelerated in the past. They can handle it.

When will all the TJ complainers get over the admissions change? Your kid will be ranked higher at their base school and might end up at a better school than UVA. There really is a silver lining for the kids. Move on folks.

With FCPS having lost 10,000 kids over the past two years, it seems people are starting to take “move on” literally. It’s a shame that Brabrand and the School Board have done so much damage in such a short time. Hiring “equity” hacks is just one manifestation of their incompetence.

Oh come on, that's everyone who works in education bureaucracy. Maybe also everyone who has an "equity officer" position. These industrial complexes built around theoretically helping people are such a waste. Do the actual hard work in the trenches or don't have the position.

Math acceleration is only about 10 years old to TJ, after some other prior admissions changes. It hasn't already been that way.

That kind of "language" is how they get hired in the first place! You can hear whatever you want to hear, so all the hiring people think "this is the right person!" Uses lots of words to say almost nothing...classic language of a politcal climber.
