Same here! I agree they just shouldn’t have sent the email until later in the day

What middle schools are we all waiting for scores from ? Curious to know if it's an issue across all of them, or limited to one school that is notorious for this kind of thing.

I'll start, we're at Williamsburg.

What school? OP, and report cards just got posted but no MI or reading tests. Also have a 6th grader, and remember the PALS and DIBELS getting sent home, so maybe middle school is different.

Dhms. It was in the grade book under her math class, just the score and a note explaining it was not part of her grade.

Some teachers do that so that parents can see the score quickly. It can be a dicey proposition. Some principals really don't like it. My principal is fine with it so I have my department do it. Prior principals would have begun to document out a teacher out for doing it.

That’s really unfortunate. It seems like there should be open communication— we are all on the same team here!

Nothing here either – our (elementary) principal said scores were being loaded a few weeks ago, but so far, nada.

It's insane they send the email out before the stuff is uploaded. Why? Why do that? I'm sure so many people will now email them. Is that a hard thing to coordinate? It shouldn't be.

Swanson has nothing posted either.

I'm at WMS and it's not posted yet but our math teacher told it to us verbally at the PT conference.

Anonymous wrote:What testing do they do in middle school at start of year after 6th grade? I remember math and reading inventories last year at the start of 6th but don’t remember hearing about anything this year for 7th.

NP. My child said they took the tests, and she got her scores. I never heard anything about it from the school though. This was quite a while ago. I’d like to know if she’s lying.

The scores pop up on the screen when they are done. My kid always screenshots it. Eventually they end up in the docs section of Parentvue. Papers don't get sent home. Maybe you will get something in the mail eventually, but I'd expect online first.

Oh sorry I wasn’t concerned that she was lying about having taken the test, just that she was lying about her score. And not lying, just…misremembering. But she was not.

Just got scores for my 7th grader. Both MI and RI are above the end of year goal for 8th grade. What does this mean - should we push for harder material? Is my kid going to be bored all year? I am honestly just really surprised because they almost failed last year due to virtual school/laziness/not turning in work.

well on the flip, my kid Breezed all their classes last year however the beginning of year inventory is lower than the end of year inventory last year! No rhyme or reason it seems.

My 8th grader bombed the EOY MI last year. I think I may have posted about it at the time. But his initial score this year was right where I would have expected him to score in the spring. I think it was a random bad test day.
