APS - no results yet from beginning of year testing

It's November, report cards are getting posted today, and they still haven't given us results from the Math Inventory and other beginning-of-year testing at our middle school. I don't want to bug the counselor, since they don't really matter, but I am curious how my child is benchmarking after last year.

Have you checked the documents tab in ParentVue? Our HS hasn't posted, but that's usually where they are.

My daughters mi score showed up as a grade in parentvue. She’s in 6th grade.

What school? OP, and report cards just got posted but no MI or reading tests. Also have a 6th grader, and remember the PALS and DIBELS getting sent home, so maybe middle school is different.

What testing do they do in middle school at start of year after 6th grade? I remember math and reading inventories last year at the start of 6th but don’t remember hearing about anything this year for 7th.

NP. My child said they took the tests, and she got her scores. I never heard anything about it from the school though. This was quite a while ago. I’d like to know if she’s lying.

Dhms. It was in the grade book under her math class, just the score and a note explaining it was not part of her grade.

The scores pop up on the screen when they are done. My kid always screenshots it. Eventually they end up in the docs section of Parentvue. Papers don't get sent home. Maybe you will get something in the mail eventually, but I'd expect online first.

School Talk email just went out saying scores are up in ParentVUE, but there’s nothing in there for my Williamsburg 7th grader. I wouldn’t necessarily expect math since he’s taking intensified algebra, but it sounds like there should be a reading inventory result there.

There can sometimes be a bit of delay to get them all uploaded. Check back tonight.

True, which is why you send the message AFTER you've actually uploaded them. Or you send a message saying that they are in the process of being uploaded and should be visible by 5pm. Stupid stuff like this is what makes people question the competence of APS staff.

Elementary report cards come later than secondary because they have comments and secondary report cards don’t

This is so funny. It’s not like I particularly care but the email was sent out so now I keep checking parentvue like I’m waiting for a college admissions decision.
