| It's a bit much, but it sure doesn't do me any harm. |
| what we really need is paid pet parental leave. |
|
That depends, is your vet also your child? |
I had a dog named Kyle that did training on Tuesday nights. I had to leave work at sharp 5 to make it on time, and would tell everyone I had to take Kyle to class. I didn't realize until much later a lot of people thought Kyle was my son. |

this is amazing, thank you for sharing. I will use the term "furternity leave" from now on. |
| No, but I'm strongly attached to my pets as a parent type relationship. |
| Well, I tell my (human) son that she's his sister. The sister is my elderly tabby. I'm kind of kidding, but not really. |

We call my ILs dog “uncle Toby”, and DHs second brother.
I don’t care how people describe their love and dedication to their pet. I think the world needs more love. |
| It sounds weird to me when people refer to me as my cats’ “mom” but I don’t care what other people use to describe themselves. |
| I don’t use the words “fur baby” or “dog mom” but I use “pawrent” on social media because it’s cute. I also refer to myself as “Frankie’s mum” when I call her vet or her day care. I think “Frankie’s owner” sounds terrible. She’s not my property. She’s also not my child, obviously. Something in between. I do love her as much as the humans in my life, and she certainly sees me as her caregiver. |
I have some friends whose employment benefits include services for their pets. |
| Yes, I do. |
| Its gross, especially when they have no human children. |
