One of the young ladies at my work place attended UVA on a 50% swimming scholarship. She graduated from UVA and is now working at the company call center answering the phone for customer support.

The jealousy is so real here. Non-FCV here, but lawd, anything short of asking "what did they do off the field to secure such an incredible ride?" is pure, 100% raw, jealousy. Not a single poster here wouldn't want this for their player.

I’m a non-FCV parent as well. Can you tell me the motive behind the OP starting this thread? Then can you tell him how the OP would know the financial package a kid was personally offered to the family.

Unsure where your kid plays, but a commit to UVA would spread through our club like a wild fire! Are you kidding? Not only was this on twitter (https://twitter.com/TSJ_FCVirginia/status/1439901925206528001/photo/1) but any parent who actually attends a practice or game spends time talking to other parents. An overwhelming majority of parents *wish* their kids can play in college, let alone an elite D1. So, when a player is picked up from your club, 100000% everyone will know in short order. As for the financial package, this too comes with the story of who got into a fantastic college. Whether or not it's a "full ride" is secondary... FCV produced a player going to a college 99% of us would die to have our child attend. Raw jealousy.
As for "why they started this thread". Ummm.... this is not "SOCCER" thread? LOLOLOL
