I do that’s why I don’t do entitled things like cut the line. |
If you are stuck behind someone trying to cut the line, you should honk loudly over and over again to humiliate her. |
| I used to go to Chesterbrook and had to make a left to turn into the kiss and ride…it’s the direction i was driving from my house. I never considered it rude and there is no rule (at least at that time) saying you can’t make a left hand turn into the school parking lot. You are basically asking people that live to the left of the school to not make a legal left hand turn into the school and instead make an illegal uturn in the middle of Kirby road during rush hour because you can’t let a person in? It’s not “cutting” in line…it just happens to be me driving from the direction of my home and making a legal turn! |
It's not cutting the line, it's called merging. If you're this worked up about a kiss and ride line, I think you need some help, LOL! |
"And don't get me started on the drive through lanes at McDonald's!" |
Legal left turn trumps illegal u-turn to get in "back of the line" going the other direction. You could get a ticket for doing an illegal u-turn perhaps. |
This. OP is out of line. Pun intended. |
The school has sent many emails. People ignore the school's request. For example, from CES Weekly News 8.22.21
And more recently, from CES Weekly Update 9.3.21
It's only going to be a bigger shit show once the sidewalk construction on the south side of Kirby Road begins, between the school, Halsey Rd., and Franklin Ave. It should be starting within the next few months, slated for completion in March 2022. Kirby will go down to one lane...all those entitled Kiss & Ride parents are going to have to suck it up, park at the church or the pool parking lots on the north side of Kirby, and actually walk the quarter mile to the school to pick up their little darlings, instead of idling their polluting SUVs while scrolling on their latest edition smartphones. |
Same for our elementary. There are always a few cars making a left into the school. The other direction has a linger line because that side of the school has fewer walkers. But both sides have lines. Just because the left turn line is shorter does not mean it is not a line. Plus, it is far safer for those people to make a left turn into school, than to drive down past the entrance and then pop a U turn to get into the longer line. Is it even legal to do a U turn in a school zone? What OP wants sounds like a recipe for disaster. |
| I'm glad that anyone searching for information on Chesterbrook will see this and understand the kind of parents that go there - entitled, wealthy, white women who are so selfish and mean that they won't even let someone take a left into the parking lot. |
"that live there" obviously parents don't go to school, even though sometimes they act like they do
|
One would assume that the longer side has a neighborhood with more drivers, and the shorter side has a neighborhood with more walkers. Driving past the entrance and turning around makes zero sense. |
Kirby Rd. commuter here - when will this start? I'll be finding a different way to work!! |
