Seems to me you should ask the school to put out cones and send an email if they want parents coming from both directions to use the same entrance, not venting here. Otherwise people will just think they are merging into the line.
The school has sent many emails. People ignore the school's request. For example, from CES Weekly News 8.22.21
Arrival & Dismissal Traffic Flow & Safety Traffic Flow ONLY turn right into the parking lot, we ask that you go down and turn around into the line and not block the road trying to turn left into the CES kiss n ride line. This will prevent accidents and keep our traffic flow moving. Cars will be expected to turn right out of the parking lot to expedite the flow of traffic. Please be cautious of walkers and bike riders and give right of way to them. Students are not allowed to unload or load on Kirby road. We understand that pulling in the lot takes more time, but it also keeps our students the safest. These practices will enable our Kiss and Ride to move quickly smoothly for all.
And more recently, from CES Weekly Update 9.3.21
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders Kiss N Ride ONLY turn right into and out of the parking lot to keep traffic moving. Traffic waiting and trying to squeeze in causes a safety issue as people are blocking the sidewalk walkway, reducing visibility of walkers and bike riders. We are noticing K&R cars dropping off and leaving students early. Do not drop off your children without staff supervision in place. We have buses completing double runs and you may notice a bus releasing students to admin, but this is planned so we can get our wonderful drivers out for their double back run. We are not sending students to class early.
It's only going to be a bigger shit show once the sidewalk construction on the south side of Kirby Road begins, between the school, Halsey Rd., and Franklin Ave. It should be starting within the next few months, slated for completion in March 2022. Kirby will go down to one lane...all those entitled Kiss & Ride parents are going to have to suck it up, park at the church or the pool parking lots on the north side of Kirby, and actually walk the quarter mile to the school to pick up their little darlings, instead of idling their polluting SUVs while scrolling on their latest edition smartphones.
