Do you really think U13 kids know the difference between a GA and ECNL? Absolutley not unless you sick individuals spew crap.

Amen. Amen. Amen.

College coaches won’t scout a female player until U16 at the earliest. I encourage you to have a chat with a women’s college coach or two. Players and college coaches can’t even have recruiting conversations until June 15 following the player’s sophomore year of HS.

Based on non public info, it is quite possible that in 1-2 years GA could close the gap on ECNL girls and may even surpass as the preeminent club. Reach out to your GA club director and ask what these growth initiatives are.

Any current U12-U14 chasing ECNL vs GA is solely because of parent interference. It’s not necessarily what is best for the player of the team. It’s the caliber of team and coaching that matters most, especially if the player is a core player and key contributor. If the team, the coach, and player’s role are all positives, trust me, the player may not be happy with the alternative.

U13 retention must not be looking so hot. They are sweating 😬

It’s the truth lol. The teams will all be filled. VDA, FVU, and Arlington plan on having 18+ kids on a roster? Good luck with that 😏.

lols revolution has 22+ but ok lols

And they aren’t strong. What strong player would want to share playing time?

Yes, that’s pp point. They’re garbage team with embarrassing level of coaching. Their strongest attributes is a bar and a parking lot

Will NVA allow high school soccer? Bethesda does not…

If you think that's when the recruiting starts, you're way behind the curve.....

Of course they do. Bethesda's ECNL season isn't until Winter/Spring so the girls can play HS in the Fall.

Can NVA girls start training with ECNL teams like VDA now since the ECNL tryout rules no longer apply?

Yup
some girls are already doing it

The smart ones are already joining practices. Those waiting will be left to play GA. Start contacting coaches and influential team parents now.
influential team parents? That influence doesn’t matter at new club. Coaches see through the glazing and know which kids really are disrupters and ballers vs getting shine and invites because of mommy and daddy’s crying and influence or siblings…

Cringe statement at best. There are no
Gatekeepers. You all start at zero.

What dream world are you living in? If you want dd to stay ecnl you had better be working now to reach the VDA/FVU/ARL gatekeepers. Remember there is more power in numbers. If you can offer to bring 2 or 3 talented players you’ll have more leverage to make these teams. But choose your alliances well. The other parents may be plotting behind your back. Don’t forget to start whisper campaigns against those you are competing against. You know, I hear that player/parent is difficult to deal with, stay away from them. If you don’t believe this stuff is going on right now you are incredibly naive. Unless your daughter is USYNT material and can walk onto any team, this is how the game is played

i'm so glad i've never had to do that

You think it is the parents pushing the kids ECNL over GA. You are sorely mistaken. Every girl I have talked to has made the decision on their own based off years of playing in tournaments, showcases, and ODP against ECNL and GA girls. The ones who have been going to training 4 days a week, plus 1-2 games a week, plus private training year round to get where they are now know where they stand and the types of competition they want to play. Just because your DD didn’t want to do the extra work, don’t pretend to think you know the drive and competitiveness of the ones who did. Your comments lets us all know your DD didn’t not put in the extra work. There is a difference, your DD is just not invested enough to know it. Some are. Stop pretending you understand the the girls that have put in the work after making a GA team from REC.
