Alec Baldwin fatally shot someone on movie set with gun mishap

The responsibility lies with the person that pulled the trigger.

Exactly. That person knows who they are. Imagine having to live with that secret.

I can’t believe they’re going to continue to shoot the movie. Who’s going to want to see it?

Uh, lots of people? Didn't lots go see that Brandon Lee movie after he died during shooting?

People went to see The Twilight Zone movie after Vic Morrow and two children were killed on set.

Rust isnt a major motion picture, he is a producer and that's the only reason this travesty would continue.

Now the prosecutors are saying that Hannah Guitierez Reed was likely hung over when she loaded the bullets in the gun that AB used. Apparently she was regularly drinking and smoking marijuana at night during the time she was on set.

Not looking good for HGR.

Oof.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed found guilty of involuntary man slaughter and not guilty of evidence tampering. https://wapo.st/3ItcWKC

I have read today’s news but I am still confused about one thing: did people on this set use weapons with real bullets? Sounds like this set had real bullets (is that what live ammo is called?) mixed with the fake bullets for the movie. And how on Earth did those two get mixed up?
I guess that’s the crux of the case, wow!

Am I the only one who kind of feels bad for this girl?

Not excusing irresponsibility and of course it’s tragic that the woman died as a result. But she seemed totally unqualified for the role and someone should’ve known better than to hire her. It would be like picking up a random receptionist at a medical facility and putting them in charge of brain surgery.

She’s so young (or was at the time) and will have to live with this for the rest of her life…

I honestly don’t. This was literally her job. I’d also not feel bad for a receptionist who performed brain surgery.

Her father (too lazy to look up his name) is a well-known movie set armorer/expert. I believe this was nepotism at its very worst; supposedly she was trained by her father and thus her name alone likely got her hired. I also think this was her first jobs.
