Huh. ?

No, it is what happens when you behave like a Pirate.

Except it is Iran who is the pirate. We haven't fired on any ships in the Strait.

Say that again, grandma. Oh, right. Most of you guys on here are about the dumbest, most uninformed, NeoCon/Zionists who are still stuck in the WMDs era of journalism when you could just get away w/ lying about who the aggressors are. Iran war live updates: Donald Trump says US Navy has opened fire on an Iranian cargo ship

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-04-20/iran-war-live-updates-blockade-hormuz-us-negotiations/106581706

You know this occurred... AFTER Iran opened fire on two tankers, right? Or do actual facts just somehow escape your attention? So funny how you love to paint Iran as some kind of victim.

The British military says a cargo vessel was attacked near the Strait of Hormuz, damaging containers on board. The attack is the second on Saturday, after two gunboats from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards opened fire on a tanker transiting the key waterway.

Why did Iran fire on the ships? You left that part out.

Because the US effectively broke the ceasefire by blocking Iranian ports and allowing the Israenazis to commit war crimes in Lebanon. America and Israel started the war last year and have reneged on negotiations 3 times. This is not Iran's war to start but Iran is allowed to conduct the war as it sees fit as long as the zionists keep breaking international law and committing war crimes. They are merely a re-actor to the fight.

Why did Iran fire on the ships? Because the ships dared to try and traverse the Strait after Iran first declared it open, and then reneged by saying it was closed and only they control it. That's why. It's really entertaining to see you constantly spluttering and trying to spin this narrative that poor Iran is the victim here. THEY reneged on opening the Strait up and then decided to fire on any ships who wouldn't listen. Sure, Iran can "conduct the war as it sees fit" - and so can we. Iran opened fire on ships first. Deal with it.

Iran reversed its decision to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and fired on a tanker attempting to pass the waterway on Saturday. It also warned that it would continue to block transit through the strait as long as the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports remained in effect.

Iran’s joint military command said on Saturday that “control of the Strait of Hormuz has returned to its previous state ... under strict management and control of the armed forces.”

Two gunboats from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard opened fire on a tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz, the British military’s United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center said. It reported the tanker and crew as safe, without identifying the vessel or its destination. TankerTrackers.com reported vessels were forced to turn around in the strait, including an Indian-flagged supertanker, after they were fired on by Iran.

The previous poster correctly stated that Israel broke the ceasefire so the strait was closed. It's really not complicated.

If Iran wants a ceasefire from Israel then they should be negotiating that with Israel. The US isn't responsible for Israel.

Woah! The UAE has been the 2nd most enthusiastic country behind this war, after Israel. If they're bailing then that mean something.

I don’t think the uae 🇦🇪 is bailing. In fact, there’s an article in today’s news about the uae considering asking the us government for billions of dollars in a line of credit; otherwise the country would switch to yuans for its oil.

Everyone in the world sees what a weak position the republicans have put us in, so why not take advantage of it?

And that’s a threat. The UAE’s currency is pegged to the dollar. That means oil is traded in dollars in what is called a petrodollar. Oil being traded in Yuan is the end of the petrodollar.

Maybe that’s the whole point of the war.

Think as hard as you can and figure out who would like to see a petrodollar based on an gulf state/America business relationship to end

Yuan has to freely trade for that to happen.

What? You think Israel forced Trump to attack Iran to destroy the petrodollar? Without the petrodollar the US debt(US treasuries) will collapse.
Anonymous
I guess the US is going to be paying UAE to "stay in the game" now...trump has really broken everything and is just hemoraging US taxpayer money to all comers.

US and Bibi are both beholden to Russia.

Get it?

Trump-Iran is what happens when you have the bluster of a malignant narcissist trying to operate a junta in the US rather than relying on the decades of experts and resources that have since been fired from service.

The fact that Witkoff, Kushner and Vance are the "negotiation team" is just a sad and sorry state of affairs.
