Actually, the former Soviet Union heavily supported the anti apartheid movement. Many of them were educated in the former USSR. And also trained there as well. Remember that this was during the Cold War era. The US actively supported apartheid SA and in fact members of the ANC had difficulty visiting th US until more recently that you think.

The Soviet Union also supported activists in South America.

Surprisingly, they have been on the right side of history in a much of the developing world.

They are highly competent at this skill, they get bombarded and killed a lot. Their children write their names on their hands so they can be identified.

Islamic funerals happen very fast within 24-48 hours. Bodies are tended to lightning speed even in the West. Given the heat of the Middle East, it makes sense. Jewish funerals have similar 48 hour rules.

It doesn’t take long to know who died and funeral services are about 10 minutes long. It’s just a prayer and then weeping and family gatherings. I guess in this case weeping and family gatherings won’t be happening since the families and houses all die together .

Israel cannot extract DNA from some of the charred remains. It’s only releasing the name of people who it has positively identified. On some of the charred remains it cannot tell if it’s one person or several, it also has quite a few limbs not attached to other body parts that it needs to sort through and identify. It’s a slow and meticulous process that will take many months.

Nuance is actually my strong suit. There's nothing nuanced about this factual issue. Palestine is not a state. Quasi-state, proposed state, partial state, almost a state, kind of a state, etc are not synonymous with the term state.

It doesn't have defined borders, control of its borders, or control over its population (West Bank settlers say hi) let alone universal recognition. Those are the essential elements of the test.

They: Palestinian leaders in Gaza immediately turn it over to Hamas.

That is exactly why UN soldiers should be sent in to take over in Gaza and West Bank and enforce their own UN resolutions that guarantee Palestinian freedom and security AT GUN POINT against any Israeli settler who tries to attack them

It’s not odd. What is odd is the Israelis not having a list of dead kids yet or anything totalling 1400 deaths.

Israel cannot extract DNA from some of the charred remains. It’s only releasing the name of people who it has positively identified. On some of the charred remains it cannot tell if it’s one person or several, it also has quite a few limbs not attached to other body parts that it needs to sort through and identify. It’s a slow and meticulous process that will take many months.

How do they know 1400 people died if they haven’t counted the remains or ID’d everyone yet?
