Ukrainian victory over Russia is inevitable

General Patton would not have been able to distinguish between Russians and Ukrainians. Considering his timeline, he probably thought they were the same thing.

….they kinda are hence giving an open line of credit and weapons to Ukraine but drip feeding it is the ideal policy.

You have a chance to break up Russia if Ukraine turns into a 20-30 year war for them….this chance doesn’t come along….like every 400 years or so.

If Ukrainians are willing to do it for us, this is such a cheat code for us.

Ukrainians have a lot more manpower to give also — they aren’t anywhere near French ww1 casualty rates yet

He would be right. The difference is that one invaded and the other was invaded. That's an important difference but basically the only one.

Ukrainian propaganda machine is lit.

If you follow social media, you’d think Ukranians are destroying all Russian equipment on a daily basis.

Don’t fall for the hype.

If that's true then why is Russia pulling tanks off of WW2 monuments and sending them to the front lines?

Russia isn’t doing that.

The lines are static.

Ukranians and Russians are both tired.

Propaganda aim now is about getting another big aid package to “finish the job”

It does look like the line did not change much despite all the sacrifices from Ukrainians and billions of dollars in help.

This isn't football. There are changes happening, even if they're not reflected on a map.

"Ukraine’s defense forces destroyed 3,801 Russian tanks (+4 in the past day), 7,467 (+11) armored fighting vehicles, 3,435 (+10) artillery systems, 575 (+1) MLR systems, 331 (+2) anti-aircraft warfare systems, 313 (+0) warplanes, 298 (+0) helicopters, 3,054 (+61) operational and tactical-level UAVs, 1,056 (+0) cruise missiles, 18 (+0) warships/cutters, 6,207 (+15) trucks and fuel tankers, and 453 (+2) units of specialized equipment."
https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-ato/3715404-russias-death-toll-in-ukraine-hits-207k-mark.html

If this is the case, then Ukraine is doing well-enough that launching a counter-offensive makes no sense right now. They can just keep sniping away at Russian troops, knocking them down, step-by-step. Eventually the Russians will need to sap away at Russia's combat reserves to backfill the losses, as the Ukrainians keep looking for targets of opportunity.

At the beginning, I did feel the Ukrainian claims may have been exaggerated, but I do now feel there may be more truth than not. The reason is the tank count claims do align to what is happening according to the news leaking from the Russian front and Russia's changes in their tank tactics. Plus the increased rhetoric from hardliners in Moscow are less boastful and more agitated as of late - a definite shift in tone and rhetoric.

"A Russian lawmaker suggested the country launch a pre-emptive missile attack on Alaska in a television segment that surfaced just as Senator Lindsey Graham appeared to say Russian deaths from United States’ funding to Ukraine was “the best money we’ve ever spent.” Duma Deputy Andrey Gurulyov said there were missiles stationed near the US “quite capable of scouring Alaska to the ground,” and that Russia should move with them instead of waiting for aggression from its enemies to attack."
https://nypost.com/2023/05/28/duma-lawmaker-threatens-missile-strikes-on-alaska-as-sen-lindsey-graham-appears-to-praise-us-dollars-spent-killing-russians/

Remember that this is the same Duma member who, back in March, wanted to wipe the UK from the face of the Earth, then in April wanted to execute Russian military and civilians who make bad decisions.

"Andrey Gurulyov, Russian State Duma deputy, recently called for wiping the United Kingdom off the face of the earth, arguing that Britain is the "main instigator" in the Russia-Ukraine war."
https://www.newsweek.com/russian-lawmaker-calls-wiping-uk-off-face-earth-1790002

A Russian lawmaker has openly called for the return of Stalinist methods to crack down on dissent. “It’s time to introduce the concept of the ‘enemy of the people’: there’s no need to be shy about this,” State Duma deputy and former military commander Andrei Gurulyov said in an interview with Kremlin propagandist Vladimir Solovyov. He said the “enemy of the people” designation should be used on not only those in the military who give “moronic orders,” but also ordinary people. '

Normally he lashes out at the West, so he would need to be very unnerved by something happening in Russia to say something like this out in the open. I think this guy is a great indicator in terms of Kremlin sentiment, since he tends to blurt out what he's thinking. His recent public statements indicates he's feeling a lack of control by the central authorities in Moscow.

This sentiment is also echoed by British Intelligence.

This is probably to keep Medvedev's promises regarding equipment production from March.

"With Russia having surged production of the T-90M, Medvedev elaborated: "We will make 1,500 tanks alone this year.""
https://militarywatchmagazine.com/article/medvedev-t90m-built-tackle-western

"The tanks are all expected to be built at the Uralvagonzavod plant, which is currently the only Russian facility producing tanks down from five in the Soviet Union in the 1980s."

But, I think there is a reason why people like Gurulyov are panicking. The Uralvagonzavod plant is limited by physics, and the production capacity estimates vary greatly.

"The Rostec employee says Uralvagonzavod received a state order of 400 tanks shortly after the Ukraine War started. As per the factory’s public relations office, the tanks production line there has a full load of work up until 2024."
"Our source working for one of the state corporations in Russia estimates the current Uralvagonzavod’s production capacity at 200–250 tanks a year."

But the Sosna-U appears to include cloned or illegally-sourced European components. It’s a bottleneck in Russian tank production. Nearly-complete tanks could wait around for years for production of sights to catch up to production of hulls.
So Uralvagonzavod and Omsktransmash have begin delivering reconditioned, war-reserve T-72s and T-80s with the low-tech 1PN96MT-02 analog thermal sight substituting for the Sosna-U.
The 1PN96MT-02 would have been state-of-the-art ... in the 1970s. Compared to the Sosna-U, it cuts in half the range at which a tank crew can identify an enemy vehicle."

In other words, even if Medvedev's promise is kept, will the tanks have night sights? Main gun stabilizers? Radios? Is the steel top-quality and manufacturing error-free? Dunno. How would you do after working 12-hours-a-day, six-days-a-week in a heavy machine factory?

Things are happening - Russian positions are being templated one-by-one, then systematically destroyed; while the Russians scramble to produce as many tanks as it can.

Lol, they've only lost about 100 tanks from the early 1960's and been arming mobiks with 19th century bolt action rifles.

Speaking of which, Happy 2000th visually confirmed lost tank day!

We'll see how tired the Ukrainians are when it stops raining. Right now we know that Russian offensive capability is kaput. Whether or not Ukrainian offensive capabilty is also kaput is something we'll find out by the end of June.

Ukrainians has 9 modern armor battalions that are not accounted for at present. Those will roll through Russian lines. The Russians are over extended and could be facing the total collapse of their military.

Or maybe the Russian "filtration" camps for Ukrainians? Heck, the Russians haven't just copied that they've also done the kidnapping and "civilizing" of indigenous children thing.

Show me one example of American media calling for a preemptive nuclear attack on any part of Russia.

Also, Elon Musk's Twitter and Fox, or at least Tucker Carlson, have been simping for Putin and Russia the entire time. Don't get more mainstream then that.

How are internment camps anything like entertainment visas?
Clearly you do not know history- in WW2 those were US citizens being put in camps.
Banning Russian visas is totally different.
