Walz’s gubernatorial experience. Him reminding people that Trump associates with the wealthy (shadow cabinet) at Mar a Lago and gives them tax breaks. That Trump doesn’t want to solve immigration because he’s using a narrative to power his campaign. That Trump wants more sunny days and he thinks global warming is a hoax. That Walz works alongside governors who are GOP as one, there’s no politics when you’re trying to get stuff done. Walz was personable, down to earth, and relatable. Did you not watch??? |
Jd Vance was rehearsed within one inch of his life and he had all his facial cues and lies memorized. But when Tim Walz just pointed out that Vance (the Emperor onstage) had no proverbial clothes, it was like Walz was Dorothy and threw just a bucket of water on the Wicked Witch and she melted. There was no there, there. Vance had no answer. And the most important job for the VP is to oversee the peaceful transfer of power and Vance confirmed onstage that he won't do that. It was shocking. |
Unfortunately, everyone has to admit Walz lost the debate badly. It wasn’t even close. |
But wait, palliative care is precisely not providing (and sometimes removing) futile care, which can also often prolong suffering. This is a decision properly made by physicians and kin, not by legislation. When necessary, these issues are referred to the courts. who are in a position to consider the unique facts of the situation along with all the legally complex issues relevant to the situation. |
When was TPS created? 1990. And you probably just 'discovered" it in the last two months. Who was president in 1990? A republican. In the intervening 24 years, a republican has been in the white house for 14 of those years - a majority, and no one complained about it until now. the GOP had plenty of opportunity to eradicate it if it had wanted to, including when Trump was in the white House with a majority House and Senate and yet he did nothing. Why do you think anything would change in the future? |
Agree. |
Agreed! Walz was up and down until that moment. But in that moment, Walz seemed to finally see Vance for who he was, and Walz just knocked Vance out. |
Maybe in your right wing echo-chamber bubble. Here on earth, it is pretty split with Walz winning on substance and Vance winning on style. |
You don't get to decide how the rest of the country feels about the debate. JD Vance may have been more slick and polished, but he lost on substance and said a bunch of things that were demonstrably false. CNN Instant Poll: No clear winner in VP debate between Tim Walz and JD Vance https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/02/politics/election-poll-walz-vance-debate/index.html |
My point was Biden/ Harris has abused it. |
I think it’s fair he called out the moderators about fact checking, if the rules all parties agreed to was that they wouldn’t be doing that on air. Both candidates lied at times and said half truths, as do ALL politicians. Either the moderates fact check everything for both candidates or not at all. Otherwise it is bias to cherry pick what they decide to fact check. |
In what way? It’s been in place since the 2010 earthquake. Why Trump regularly extend it while in office if it’s an abuse? Extra credit question: why did Trump grant it to Venezuelans if it’s so terrible? |
"Mike Pence made the decision to certify that election, that's why Mike Pence isn't on this stage right now. Where is the firewall for Donald Trump, if he knows he could do anything, including taking an election, and his VP isn't going to stand up to it. America, I think you've got a really clear choice to make." |
