But wait, palliative care is precisely not providing (and sometimes removing) futile care, which can also often prolong suffering. This is a decision properly made by physicians and kin, not by legislation. When necessary, these issues are referred to the courts. who are in a position to consider the unique facts of the situation along with all the legally complex issues relevant to the situation.
