Private & Independent Schools
|
There is no actually functioning board. Most not-for-profit schools have a Board of Trustees but this is a for-profit corporation. There is no indication of governance, independent members or anything other than his own paid employees.
To be fair, if your plan was to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for the purpose of squandering and theft, you probably wouldn’t want a Board of Directors either. |
This is interesting. if you click on the link to the Shenzhen campus and click on "English" as a language you go to: http://en.huitongschool.cn/ which is clearly a Whittle site. But if you stay with the Chinese language (and use google translate) you go to http://www.huitongschool.cn/recruit/apply/ which doesn't mention whittle at all. |
100%. There was a board of directors comprised of representatives from US and Chinese investors but they resigned en masse several months ago. So now there is literally no adult supervision of a well documented grifter who is trying every trick he knows to get his hands on hundreds of millions... What could possibly go wrong?
|
The website also has working links to the Brooklyn campus and is accepting applications for that too (!!) - long after that project was unceremoniously terminated.. And yes - the China campus severed ties with the US last year so that is a big fat highly misleading lie. Another one on the long list of lies CW and his band of cronies are peddling |
| Sounds like Cris Little was successful in harpooning a wealthy parent or two by flattering them about their expertise in capital matters |
| Pretty common approach to buying time. Confuse, obfuscate, equivocate. |
| deceive, inveigle, and obfuscate! |
| Building's being foreclosed upon in March. Was in the WBJ this weekend. |
| So will the school be out of a home in March? |

| I do feel sorry for the students and families, though. What a nightmare. |
| Too bad dcps won’t buy it. It’s the location a public school is needed |
No connections with councilpeople/mayor’s office. They only buy from friends, not for student needs. |
It's a great space--but is there space for outdoor play/fields if it were to be turned into a DCPS facility? |
No matter. If it had fields, DCPS would just lease them to private schools. The DCPS students can travel to NE for sports. |
