I know everyone is scared right now, but I really do think once the new secretary gets a chance to meet with Board management, they will leave us alone with respect to remote work. |
Oh that's right, RTO will bring back sexual harassment |
I would discourage you from assuming logic has anything to do with decisions being made. When Trump pardoned the J6 people he said "whatever, just pardon them all." Same thing with RTO except it's "bring them all back!" |
Too bad that hunky general is no longer the Chairman at the Board. I know quite a few women (and men) who would gladly say yes to that hunk. |
??? |
Well I certainly agree that Trump is not looking for logic here. He and the others (like Blackburn for example) are looking for headlines and to score points with people who have never set foot in DC and have no idea how much the federal government helps them. However, we do have both democratic and republican reps on the House Veterans Affairs committee who pay attention to these things. I was encouraged by one of the last House committee hearings that discussed the Board. It seemed like they understand that mass resignations at the Board is a bad thing. So hopefully someone somewhere will explain to someone at the white house that they should just leave the Board alone. |
What color is the sky in your world? |
+1 There is no thought or analysis, just headlines. Consequences to the country and people be darned. They have a bigger agenda that is ultimately evil, and they do not care about collateral damages. |
The first floor of 425I had had rodents and bugs. There is very limited space there and it was mostly used for holding and preparing for in-person hearings. The 5th floor is where all the bigwigs work, and they may not want to cram hundreds of attorneys into their own offices. I’m also not sure there is parking for over 1000 people in addition to whoever leased the floors we gave up.
If they order us back, we will be sitting on the floor all day just to say we came jnto the office. |
It sounds like the SES and judges go back in February unless supervisors are working over 50 miles away. They may try to bargain with AFGE for the rest, but it will depend on the specifics of the implementation ban. Extensions are allowed for lack of space. |
Hopefully when we get a new Secretary, they will just exempt the entire Board once they get their head out of their derriere. |
USPTO has been called back. If they can’t get an exemption, then I don’t see how the Board will. |
What a dumpster fire, & it completely feels like there are/were no guardrails or protections. & where’s the union? |
No, they’re exempt |
