People like you are why I left the Catholic Church.

Bless your heart, you never left the Catholic Church. Will pray for you dear.

St James Church in Setauket NY would disagree with you.

Hate the sin but love the sinner. God’s mercy is always there for you.

Roe is trashed. “There is no constitutional right to abortion” is the law of the land. DD

And yet the abortions will continue on.

I’m confident that some babies will be born who otherwise would have been aborted. How many? Only God knows, but it’s more than zero and even one is a beautiful thing—that baby could grow up to be a great leader one day. Every life is precious. Many blessings to you!!

What about the babies not born because their mothers couldn’t get an earlier abortion they wanted and needed? Do you realize how many people exist only because their moms had an abortion? I know a number of children who wouldn’t be alive today had their mothers not had terminated a previous pregnancy.

God, men are all the same no matter who they have sex with.

Women should boycott Pride BS after this. We show up for men all the time but they don't show up for us.

You are not helping anything right now. You really think gay men who voted Democrat shouldn’t be worried about the future of thy wit own rights when Thomas openly invited conservative groups to bring new challenges to those rights.

They can be worried, of course! But it is tacky as hell to focus on that hypothetical without saying a damn word about what has actually happened to WOMEN.

No, I think white gay men are the wealthiest households in America who view women as egg producers and egg incubators for designer babies and in general give zero effs for lived experiences of women. They have historically attempted to mute the voices of lesbians in the gay rights movement, engage in misogynistic minstrel shows denigrating women, culturally appropriate from
Black women with abandon, and in general, in my narrow cisgendered professional work experience, have exposed some of the more racist, anti-immigrant, anti-women, fat-shaming behavior I have ever seen. They are not proven alllies of women.

Exactly. Thank you for articulating what I was thinking. There are always exceptions but gay men act in their financial interests and their sexual interests. They view women as peripheral.

I keep reading about how abortion is central to Judaism. It’s clear to me that the founders always believed in a clear separation between synagogue and state.

I’m not sure why Jews think that exposing abortion as a Jewish thing is a good idea, but clearly Jewish religious dogma has no place in our laws or government.

I'm a lesbian and queer mom groups are filled with people scrambling to get their paperwork in order before whatever comes next. Queer people have a real reason to be scared and we are overrepresented in the reproductive justice movement. I spent a lot of time at my statehouse in 2019 when we were pushing for legislation to codify Roe at the state level (which was successful). A majority of people showing up for those bills were women in their 60s, 70s and 80s and younger queer people like myself. I was surprised at how few younger straight women were showing up and was concerned about what that meant for the movement.

We now know that Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett LIED under oath. They willfully and deliberately deceived and misled Congress during their SCOTUS nomination hearings. Thus their confirmations were ILLEGITIMATE.

We have 5 ILLEGITIMATE people taking seats on the SCOTUS bench.

We need to hear from Roberts what he intends to do about it.

We need the Senate to begin impeachment hearings. Clinton was impeached for far less.

We need their perjury cases to be referred to DoJ for prosecution.

These 5 people lack the integrity to sit on the SCOTUS bench and must be removed.

They all lied. They all committed perjury. They all gained their seats under false pretenses. They are ILLEGITIMATE and must be removed.

Ugh. Can we get some realistic proposals? I see everyone is still at the denial stage of grief.

No. It needs to be done. Again, Clinton *was* impeached for less.

And, lying to Congress is a crime. United States Code, Title 18, section 1001, and it has been used on Rod Blagojevich, Jeffrey Skilling and many others. There is no legitimate reason why it can't or shouldn't be prosecuted.

If Republicans get upset about it they void and completely destroy their "law and order" cred.

As much as you want it to be true.... NOT ONE of the Justices lied to Congress.

And, if you want to talk about prosecuting lying to Congress.... let's start with Brennan and Clapper.

https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-11-17/lawmakers-resume-calls-for-james-clapper-perjury-charges

Even when faced with clear evidence that these 5 justices lied right to our faces, Republicans will deny it. Republicans can't stop their pathological lying.

+1000. I watched and rewatched the videos from their nomination hearings. They lied. They committed perjury. They should be impeached. They should be removed from the bench. Anyone claiming they didn't lie is themselves a lying weasel.

Abortion isn't "central" to Judaism nor a "Jewish thing" - what is however a long-held, strongly held Jewish belief is that life begins at birth, not at conception. It is wrong, un-Constitutional and un-American that one religious doctrine should be allowed to trample another.

Christian dogma has no place in our government. We need separation of church and state.

The point is....hero your forced birth religious dogma out of our laws. Have as many babies as you want and leave the rest of us alone.

Yup.

This is what the first female POTUS will look like. "Attractive" and conservative as hell.

And completely corrupt and inept.

Noem 'governs' a state with a population just over that of DC's. Can't wait for her or someone with similar 'experience' to lead the USA.
