I'm a lesbian and queer mom groups are filled with people scrambling to get their paperwork in order before whatever comes next. Queer people have a real reason to be scared and we are overrepresented in the reproductive justice movement. I spent a lot of time at my statehouse in 2019 when we were pushing for legislation to codify Roe at the state level (which was successful). A majority of people showing up for those bills were women in their 60s, 70s and 80s and younger queer people like myself. I was surprised at how few younger straight women were showing up and was concerned about what that meant for the movement.[/quote]
